Catchy title right?! It's probably not what you think this article is about but you WILL enjoy the read. Why? Because an important part of the journey of LOVE is SELF LOVE. So many times we overlook this important ingredient to happiness. That's why, this article resonated with me. We are living in a world where sometimes it's hard to take a step back. We are inundated with the activities of daily life & we put ourselves on the back burner. As a result we spend many sleepless nights just staring... See what our Guest Writer "Rae'chell has to say!

Yet another day has come to pass.
The day is done, and you lay down to sleep. You may get 1, 2 maybe even 3 hours, but the inevitable is bound to happen. You will awaken at what I like to refer to as “The Woman Hour(s)”. You know that time, usually between 3 and 5 am where you will assess the previous day and plan for the next. The time for your daily confessionals and ceiling chronicles.
Every woman has experienced this one way or another, either intermittently or constantly. You sit there staring at the ceiling running down your never-ending checklist. "Did I do this? Great, I got this done! Check, oh I have to do this tomorrow. And don’t forget, you still have to do that." Your mind races to keep up, but it’s an endless list in a race you can’t win. You fumble over your thoughts..."Could I have played with the kids more? I have to fold and put that laundry away! Remember to make the doctors’ appointments."
No one understands your struggle, after all, when were you delegated to be Estate Manager? You don’t remember applying for that position. Yet here you are in all its glory, another day discussing your wins and losses with the ceiling. An inanimate object that gives you no validation, shows no compassion, and just stares back with a blank face. So, what are you to do!
As I sit and write this during my own ceiling chronicles, I’m here to tell you there's hope! You see, more often than not, as women we carry the mental load of the family. Our thoughts not only contain our jobs, but all the tasks and events of every member of the family. "When is the soccer game? Remember the PTA bake sale, fundraisers, dental appointments, dance recitals,"... and on and on and on. I can’t tell you how many times my husband has asked me to remind him of something for a later date, when truthfully, he can just set his own reminder in his phone (I’d be rich if I had a penny for every time).
But don’t fret, as Mrs. Doubtfire said, “Help is on the way dear!” Here are a few suggestions to help make your ceiling chronicles more productive if not non-existent.
Option 1: Use this time as your creative time!
As you see I am here writing this blog, this could be your time to think of new and inventive ways of accomplishing dreams, goals, or anything that will propel you forward. "Ceiling Chronicles" equal creative chronicles!
Option 2: Self-improvement!
Reading is always beneficial! Use this time to learn new things, explore books about strong powerful individuals (especially women). Read about productive ways to improve yourself and give yourself some love. After all, you deserve it!
Option 3: List it!
Make a list of everything you need to do. Yes, everything on actual paper or type it on your phone. I find once you have written it all down there's nothing left to talk with the ceiling about and the chronicles now have ended.
Off to sleep you now go. You’re welcome! But wait! Rae'chell Don't forget about ...
Option 4: ________________________________________________ (fill in the blank ya'll)!
OK! One more time.... "Off to sleep you now go. You’re welcome!"
